Tutti is going to be the "traditional" Inspirare series of concerts. Here you will find the concerts given by the entire ensemble, ranging from major choral works to themed concerts such as "Conflict and Resolution". We are very excited about the concerts being offered in 2019 and feel sure that you as a patron of our choir will continue to be pleased with the artistry, programming, and concepts for the Inspirare concerts.
In addition to the three concerts this year, Inspirare is hosting their first fundraiser. The concert will be presented by past and present members of Inspirare and will feature duets from various genres. Inspirare is partnering with Music Futures which helps young musicians from the greater Wellington region to realise their potential. They provide financial awards, performance opportunities and chances to meet some of New Zealand's finest professional musicians.
The funds will also help Inspirare participate in the Surround Sounds festival, as part of the World Symposium of Choral Music, to be held in Auckland, 11-18 July 2020. This is an enormous opportunity for our ensemble to perform on a world stage as we continue to strive to bring quality, innovative repertoire with a high level of artistry integrity.
As part of our expansion in 2019, we have added this new series that will feature guest artists as solo performers. Inspirare has established a reputation of excellence, quality programming, and the use of effective venues around the capital city of Wellington.
This year, we will be presenting two "Soli" concerts. Morgan Pearce, a fellow Kiwi, now living in London, will present our first guest artist concert along with our artistic director, Mark Stamper at the piano. Saturday, 10 August at 7:30 pm will be our date and tickets will go on sale 6 weeks prior to that concert. Venue: TBD
The second concert will feature the three emerging artists from the NZ Opera: Pasquale Orchard, Angus Simmons, and Will King. Pasquale and Will have sung with Inspirare as members and Pasquale has been featured as the soprano soloist in 2018 during the Rutter, "Mass of the Children". This concert will be presented on Thursday, 5 September at 7:30 pm. Venue: TBD
