An Evening with Brahms:
Resolution to Love

June 15, 2019 - 7:30PM

Central Baptist Church
46 Boulcott Street

Inspirare will present its first concert of music by Johannes Brahms, one of the most well-known Romantic composers. His music has a real sense of form, while yet experimenting with harmonies, dynamics and a sense of movement beyond that of the Classical period.

This concert will feature three works by three different ensembles, all coming from Inspirare.
Vier Quartette, Op. 92
performed by a quartet and accompanied by our artistic director, Mark Stamper
Zigeunerlieder, Op. 103 (("Gypsy Songs")
performed by an octet, accompanied by Rachel Thomson, and will feature Garth Norman as the tenor soloist
Liebeslieder Walzer, Op. 52 ("Love Songs")
performed by 20 singers and accompanied by Rachel Thomson and Emma Sayers
